From our YHA room, across Euston Road, the majestic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. It's the facade for the St Pancras railway station (underneath and behind it). Once the showpiece London terminus station for the former Midland Railway it fell out of favour when the Midland Railway and the London & Noth Western Railway (and others) merged to become the London, Midland & Scottish Railway, which used the L&NWR's terminus station at nearby Euston as their new headquarters.
